Visiting confusion

There appears to be some confusion about visiting and our wishes. At this time we can have visitors and are not against them. With that being said our visitors need to be healthy. The nurses will kick people out of the unit they hear a person cough or sneeze even if it is allegedly allergies. The only real issue is for people that have reptiles or birds for pets. These animals carry normal diseases that will be deadly to Trent. If you have them your clothes have to be clean and hands washed(which is done once you get here anyway.) If you want to visit let us know on the blog and we can call you. Lastly pediatric cancer is completely different than adult cancer. The information on the Internet mostly deals with adults and does not correctly reflect our situation. I know everyone has questions and feel free to call us with them, we are getting more information everyday and don't mind sharing.

Trent,
We're praying for you all the time and sending lots of positive thoughts your way!
Mario Kart, eh? What is the gaming set up there? Somewhere our family got the silly idea to have an "unplugged" summer, meaning no TV or video games while the kids are off track. Soooo...even though he goes back to school in a couple of weeks, Noah would absolutely LOVE to come sometime and dust off his kart skills when you're up to it.
We're glad you and your family are moving in just around the corner soon. We're standing by, ready to help any way we can. Keep your chin up! Love, The Flandros

Dear Trent-
Hey there tough guy. How are you doing? We have been thinking about you a lot lately and hoping that you are feeling better after chemo. How is the hospital food? It sounds like the choc milk is good. Kayla says hi, and wants us to come up and see you. We will hopefully be able to come in a few months. We should all go camping when you are feeling 100% better. We can ride the quads and have a contest to see who can catch the most fish. Tell your mom and dad Hi for us.
Jerel is so excited to shave his head!. He has wanted to for a long time, but I didn't want him to. But when he told me he was going to with you and everyone we got really excited to see what his bald head might look like. We love you and hope that this week is a good one. We will be praying for you and hope that you have fun and keep drinking that Chocolate milk.

Love ya-

Hey there Trent & Family!
It was really good to talk to your mom yesterday - We just love you guys! We want you to know that we are praying really hard for you and your family - and thinking of you often! You are loved by soooooo many people - isn't that a great feeling? Hey, just remember that there a TONS AND TONS AND TONS of prayers sitting up there in Heavenly Father's hands just waiting for you to ask for them - so don't be afraid to ask. Just a few weeks ago when Sharrisa was facing her little challenge she was really scared and worried and did not want to have brain surgery she cried a lot - we all did - we all prayed a lot too - and everyday we would pray for comfort then one day she came in and said "mom, why don't I feel as nervous and scared anymore?" and do you know why? Because of all the prayers and fasting that everyone was doing with her in mind were just sitting there waiting for her to ask for them. Heavenly Father can't help us unless we ask for it - so remember that - you need to do your part and ask so that all those blessings can be put to work. So whenever you are feeling scared and nervous or worried, just ask Heavenly Father to bless you and give you comfort - He will be so happy to sprinkle all those blessings down upon you and it helps us too - as the ones offering them because we know right now that is the only way we can really help you and it is good for all your friends and family to know that we are helping in some way! It's ok to be scared, nervous and worried - just remember a quick prayer and your faith with bring you comfort right away! Well, I have rambled enough little guy - you are probably exhausted, so I'll let you go rest...just wanted to let you know we are praying for you - thinking of you and when you need the bucket refilled - you just let me know! We'll be right there! K?!?!? We love to bring goody baskets! If you think of something that you would like - let us know! We are only a hop, skip, jump - and a huge LEAP away - but we'll be there! Well, you have a great day! And remember we love you all!!!
Love - The Olson Gang -
Todd, Shontell, Joschua, Kambriell, Sharrisa, & BryLeigh

PS - Amber & Trevor send their love too - all the way from scortching hot Las Vegas! They said to tell you they are praying for you too, and she remembers the cute little guy in his cowboy boots and shorts! She is hoping to have a little boy just like that - you are so cute!

Trent,

When you got that basket what did you pick first in those gifts? Was it freaky when you had a bloody nose? How long till it stopped?

Yesterday I slept over with my cousins. We played football with them. I went fishing to the lake.

I have a funny story to tell you. My cousins have this dog. I was walking her. She was running so fast that I let go of her leash. Then I was chasing her all around the lake. I was right behind her, but couldn't get her. I almost beat her in a race. Everyone was laughing at me. And it was embarrasing. And that's all. It's a long story!

See ya later buddee,

Erickson Family,

Hey what's going on? Crystal have you had the baby yet? Any names? I am doing great with chemo. I have not thrown up yet so that is a good thing! I get kind of cranky when they give me the anit nausea medicine phenergan, but other than that I am teasing the nurses and having a good time with them! I am so excited to see Jerel bald you will have to take a picture and send it to me. Every one says that they have wanted to shave their heads but their wives would not let them, and now they have a great opportunity. My mom laughs cuz she feels the same about my dad. Nathan has finally decided to shave his head but we will see how long that lasts. Kayla how is your summer going? Are you doing anything fun? How are Gordon and Tyler doing tell them all hi for me! I am so excited I don't have to go to school I made the nurse laugh when out of the blue I yelled "Yes, I don't have to go to school!" Well hope all is well.

Wow, look how many people love and care for your family. You are way AWESOME and one of my favorite kids. I have some great memories of our Primary class and the fun times we had. Do you remember the Sunday Bishop Davis walked into the class and everyone was sitting on the floor with their shoes and socks off (in your case, your cowboy boots)! I am really blessed and thankful that I got to be one of your teachers. It's been fun to watch how you've grown and changed the last couple of years.
Stay tough, Trent. When things get not very fun for you, try to remember lots of people love and care for you and your family and are thinking about YOU every day.
Love Ya!
