February 29th: day +104

Hello everyone. I went to the doctor's office on Wednesday for my normal weekly appointment and some new testing. They are now doing the "100 day" testing. This week I had a respiratory test. Next week I have vision, hearing, and a bone marrow aspirate. My kidney test showed they are doing a "little" better so they did not put me on more fluids. I was very happy because I like to move around and not be hooked up to the IV bag. The weather has been nice and melting the snow in the yard. Today dad, Brad, Nate, Uncle Alan, and I went outside for an airsoft war. I had a blast and only got hit a couple of times. I have a better airsoft gun than all the others so I have an advantage and they all felt it. Hope everyone is enjoying the sun. Love, Trent.

Well today I am so tired, I slept till almost 10:00 yikes. We had my 100 day party last night. It was so fun! Mom got out the chocolate fountain and we pigged out. We had chocolate all over our mouths. We played Dance Dance Revolution and SingStar we laughed and laughed it was a blast!!! I was singing and dancing with all I had. Time has gone by fast I can't wait till I can go wherever I want and eat out. I already have a list for what I will eat out first. Well have a great day!!!

February 24th: day +99

Well tomorrow is day +100. It will be 100 days since I got my new bone marrow. Day 100 is a benchmark in the process. It does not mean that things still cannot happen but it is a big step. Mom is going to get the chocolate fountain working tomorrow and we're going to have a little party. I'm still trying to keep busy around the house. I have been doing school work with mom and it helps take up some time. We won't know if my kidneys are doing any better until my appointment this week. Right now we just deal with whatever the problem at hand is and move forward. I still cannot go anywhere or play with friends. Thanks for checking in. Love, Trent.

February 21st, day +96

Well I came home on Sunday afternoon. Before they even had the RSV mask off of me I had my shoes on and I was ready to go home. It's been fun to be home again on Tuesday I did home school and it was good. Wed. I went in to clinic everything looks great except for my kidneys. They are the worst they have been so I have to drink 30oz of fluids on top of 1liter of fluids. If I can't drink 30oz a day they will up my fluids on Friday. The Nurse Practitioner laughed cause she knows I don't drink a lot so she is giving me a little time but more than likley I will have more fluids come Friday. They again are slowley taking me off the steroid. I am now at 5ml, it's going well and there is nothing to indicate that the gvh is acting up or getting worse. I've been shooting my air soft gun with my brothers. Everytime we go outside I shoot one of them in the bum or leg I think it's funny but Mom, Brad, & Nate are not laughing. Mom finally told me to stop or I would lose my guns so of course I stopped! Last night I was able to go to my Grandma's house and see my cousins that came in from Pittsburg I had to wear my mask and they had to promise they were not sick. I had so much fun it's the only kids I have played with in monthes and I had a blast. Well hope everyone is doing well.

February 16: day +91

Well things have been a little boring here in the hospital. I have three treatments a day that last two hours each for the RSV. I also have a bacterial infection that they are treating. The doctors said that I can go home after my last RSV treatment which will be Sunday afternoon. I will get out just in time for Brad's birthday party. I cannot wait and am doing everything I can to show that I'm ready to go home. Love, Trent.

February 12th day +87

Well I was able to stay out of the hospital for 3wks. Today the results came back from my snot test and it is positive for RSV. So I get to go back to the hospital for at least 5 days. I am very sad to go back in, but I want to feel better so hopfully it will go fast. Mom said that at least I could get the pretzel I have been craving but I told her I would rather eat the food at home!!! So we are just waiting for an isolation room up at the hospital and then we will go in. Hope all is well and everyone is feeling good and not sick like me!!!

February 11: day +86

I have to clarify, I'm not going back to school yet I'm only doing school work at home. I will not be able to go back to the school for at least a year. Today I had to go to the doctor's office so they could test my snot. They stuck a small tube up my nose and sucked out snot to test. We will find out tomorrow. Hopefully the test will be nothing. Thanks. Love, Trent.

February 10th: day +85

Well time is flying by. I'm not too thrilled to start school tomorrow but I told mom I would. I have a cold and cough that is starting to drive me crazy. The doctors said I may have to go in for a test tomorrow if the cough does not go away. Two weeks left until the magic 100 days is over. Dad says we will try and put some pictures on the blog this week. Thank you. Love, Trent.

February 6th Day + 81

I have 19 more days of the 100. We are going to party!!! Home is awesome! I will never complain about wanting to be gone from home I love it!! Today me and mom had a serious talk about school, our goal is to start next Monday and I promised I would have a good attitude with a smile lucky me! I am trying to stay busy by playing, listening to books on tape (again Aunt Vickie I love the Narnia cd's we are on number 5 they are so good) thanks again, and mom reading books to me. Last night mom read Spiderwick #2 it was so exciting, I love to use my imagination. I am dying to go play in the snow but mom is being very cautious and tells me no. So at the hospital the child life guy gave me play snow so I play in it everyday it's so cool. Well all is well.

February 2nd: day +77

Well I'm still home and doing good. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and nothing much is new. They raised the amount of fluid I get at night because my kidney levels are not that great. In fact they doubled the amount so when I wake up in the morning I really have to go to the bathroom. Mom was bored the other night and started to go through her journal. During the last seven months we spent 155 days in the hospital. That equates to 22 weeks. All I know is that I'm very happy to be home and do not want to spend another night in the hospital. The days are getting a little boring because my brother's are in school and I can't go anywhere. Thanks for the support. Love, Trent.
