July 28th
Well not much is new today. My levels only stayed at zero for one day and then went back to 0.1. Some of you have asked about outside the family bone marrow tests. At this time they will not be doing a bone marrow transplant because neither Brad nor Nate are a match. I'm getting a little fed up with being confined to my room. I have a calender that I wrote "going home" on the 31st. The nurse saw it and made me sad because she told me that there was no way I would be going home then. The doctor stated it would be "rare" if my levels came up and I was able to go home this coming week. So I still have a couple of weeks before I can get out of this room. We know of 23 heads that were shaved this week. Thank you everyone. Love, Trent

You hang in there buddy! Every one is praying for you and know you will be able to go home soon. On the first day of school we saw SO many bald kids walking to school... it was awesome!! If there is anything you want/need to make your stay a little easier, please let us know and we will get it to you!
You are always in our thoughts and we know you are a tough kid!

When is our next date boss? Mom said on a weekend, but I could do a week day to this week because KK hasn't gone back to school. I talked to grandpa Hansen today, are you guys having too much Fun? I love you and hope you are giving loves to Mom for me.

We haven't written you yet on here but our family checks your blog everyday. We are all praying for you!!! We just wanted you to know that all 5 of the boys in our home shaved their heads bald for you! We will email you a picture.

I am having so much fun with my Grandpa. Last night I had a waterfight with my nurses but it was unfair cuz they used the saline and squirted me right in my mouth YUCKY!! Mom is doing OK she was able to get out last week a lot so she is refreshed and ready to do another week!

Thank you for shaving your heads, doesn't it feel so good!! I hate when I put on my shirts though I rip my head back every time! I can't wait to see the pictures! Are you doing any four wheeling this summer. I miss that a lot so do a lot for me!! Thanks for writing.

We got B track. Dustin started 5th grade this year and he got Mrs. Rountree, Oakley is in 2nd and she has Ms. Finley and Kylie is starting Kindergarten on Wednesday and she has Mrs. Bishop. They all hope off track comes really soon! What track are you all on?
School work is not really any fun, but it will keep you busy. Maybe since you have the nurses wrapped around your finger, they will do your work for you!!! HA!!

HEY There DUVALS!
Just wanted to let you know that we are so sorry to say that we opted out of the "head shaving" - I was really hoping a few of the "GIRLS" would - just think what that would do on our drain system! But Risi wanted to let you know that she has a "partial" shave, but she did it before she knew about you, so she hopes that will still count for something. Her hair is SLOWLY growing back - it's just really itchy right now...and very short and stubbly. You'll still be our friend won't you? When you get to come home, how long do you get to stay home for, or what is the next mile stone you watch for? (Sorry if we missed it- we try to keep up every day...but it has been a challenge the past couple of weeks) Is there anything that we can do for you or your mom & dad? How is the basket - I know I keep asking - but I'm just wondering...Well, we send you all our love and hugs and prayers of course! Tell your mom to call when she can...I know she has a lot to do these days - but we just wanted to check in, let you know we are here for you - thinking, praying and praying more! It was Great hangng out with you on Friday! Lord of the rings is awesome. My kids thought it was funny that you beat me at toss up and killed me at mario kart. But not for long we are going to get mario kart and I will practice so beware!

Trent, I'm sorry to hear that your brothers were not a match. So you have 4 more rounds of chemo right? So you are going to start doing school work? I know that is not great fun, however, it will be good so you do not get too far behind. And it gives you something to do to keep your brain from "turning to Mush" Thats what I always tell my kids, that if they don't use there brain it will turn to mush. :-) Well, we sure love you. We miss you and your craziness :-) Hang in there and we will see you soon.

Glad to know school is going well. We got A track and Nate starts tommorrow he has Mrs. Tipton Brad has Ms. Brown. My friend said she has Mrs. Rountree and she is round like a tree but don't tell her that I just laughed at that! School was not bad but I gave my Mom a very hard time I think I should be able to play game cube all day but she has different ideas. I wonder if I bribe the nurses enough if they will do my homework!! I will have to work on that!! Good luck in school. Kristen what are you going to do in your spare time ha ha? My Mom says "do mom's ever have spare time?" Talk to you soon.

Thanks for the head shave risi we will pretend it was for both of us!! The nurses keep asking Mom why she did not shave her head. She laughs and tells them she didn't have to because you can see her scalp anyway! When I come home I get to stay there for about 7-10 days, not very long but it will be awesome to be home with my brothers and be a normal family. It will go to fast. The only mile stone now is waiting for my counts to go up. When they do you will hear Mom yelling YAHOO! from the hospital. The basket is doing good still thanks for asking and taking care of us! How is Risi doing this week is she healing fast and able to run and play a lot? How is the rest of your family doing? I am so excited if I am pretty healthy when I go home Mom says I can go to Sacrament Mtg but I have to wear my mask. It will be good to see all my friends and say hi in person!! Well talk to you later.

Why are you coming to Primary's this weekend? You can come up to say hi but you will need to say hi outside my door through the window Mom & Dad are still being careful and till my levels start coming they don't want kids to come in. But it will be great to look at a fun happy face! Let me know

Hi guys, My mom was very mad the day the Dr. came in and told us brothers were not a match. We were hoping they would be but the Lord wants us to fight this a different way so we will!!! We have 4 more rounds of chemo and hope it will go fast! Girls how is school going? Do you like your teachers? When I am done we will have to go party and have a fun time to celebrate! Miss you tons.

This is Aunt Syd finally!!! Things have been very, very busy for me lately. I'm sorry I haven't been better at e-mailing you. Heather and I are getting ready for Girls' Camp next week. We are the camp cooks!! Yippee! We are not going to do dutch oven cooking like your dad likes to do, even though I love to eat dutch oven cooked meals. (I don't even know how to build a fire, isn't that sad?)
I gave your mom some juggling balls to give to you. Did you get them? I hope you did and that your mom didn't decide to keep them for herself. (My Nate will be so mad if you learn how to juggle before him. Do it!!)
Hang in there Trent. We are thinking about you and I know you will be able to go home sometime soon! We all love you and after Girls' Camp and the kids get back to school on August 20th we will come and visit!

Hope you have fun at girls camp!! Are you cooking good food? Dutch oven is so good! Yes, my Mom gave me the juggling balls thank you we all have had a blast playing with them. Uncle Alan is the only one who is able to juggle right now but we will change that shortly!! Are you going Snipe hunting? Mom won't tell me what it is she says I will have to learn first hand. Have fun at camp, don't get to dirty.
