July 10th

Well today started out pretty good. My brothers came to see me and we all talked with Mike the Child Life specialist. Brad and Nate got their own hospital buddies and I showed them what to do with a central line. Brad and Nate then went downstairs and had their blood drawn to see if either of their bone marrow matches mine. Both were really brave and some tears were shed. I started crying when I told them thank you and that I loved them. I got a little dizzy today again but my nose has not bled. A sore has started to form on my lip. I guess the chemo is starting to work. Thank you and love you, Trent.

Hey Trent
Sunday in primary we worked on some cool stuff for you, your primary class loves you. I even worked on some more of it tonight. I am hoping to put it all together and send it up tomorrow. I(sis Dotson) have a cold so we can't come see you just yet. Bro Dotson is way bummed he wants to come right now. We hope we get to come sit with you on a day when mom and dad have stuff to do(we are so looking forward to that) Thanks for keeping us posted on how you are doing. We check it every day. We love you and you are in our prayers

Sounds like you had a busy day. There is obviously more than one tough guy in the Duval family. There has not been a prayer in our house since we found out about your illness that hasn't mentioned your name. We love you guys!

I found out that this week the principal and secretaries should be at school preparing for meetings next week. I don't know if you've already taken care of it. I just thought I'd let you know. Let me know if you need me to do any of the footwork. I'll do whatever I can.

Way to be tough, Brad and Nathan! I know that pokes are no fun. Of course Trent does now too. A friend of mine pointed me toward "Beads of Courage". Is that something offered at PCMC? You apparently get one bead for each painful thing to string on a looooong string, so that you can look at it and see how brave you've been.

Hey Trent:

Wow, can you believe all of these messages you are receiving. Lots of people love and care for you and your family.
I just wanted to let you know I think you are one of the most AWESOME kids I know. I'm really lucky to have been one of your Primary teachers.
It sounds like all of your experiences aren't the best. But, be tough and hang in there. I check on how you are doing every day and can tell how brave you are. Take care.
