July 5th - after surgery

Well surgery went well. I now have a tube sticking out of my chest that other kids call their "power cord." There were no leukemia cells in the spinal fluid so it was a good start. They decided since it is so late that I will start with the chemo. treatments tomorrow morning 07-06. This is not that fun.

Are those Pokemon cars good Trent? Have you got them all in your binder? Did it hurt when you had surgery, and did you wake up feeling funny? you were really good playing kickball and soccer at school. Let's do that some more when you get home. It's getting boring around the house because there's no one to play with. SO.......GET WELL SOON!

From Kyle

P.S. I remember what it's like to be in the hospital, and it sucks. I'm here for ya bro. Peace out

Good luck with the chemo therapy tomorrow. We'll have to come see your "power cord". I'm sorry that this is not a lot of fun. Hang in there and be brave. We had alot of fun with you watching "Over The Hedge", playing video games, and especially watching fireworks with you. We love you. When your felling sad, say a prayer to Heavenly Father and he will help you feel better, I promise.

We love you,

Trent, You will have to ask your Dad about me as I live just a little ways from your Grandpa Dan. I heard you were in the hospital. I was in teh hospital too, but my visit was for my heart. At times I got bored and thought you might get bored too. So, I wanted to ask you what kind of video games you like. You take care and I will write to you later maybe in a real letter.
You are in my prayers,
Uncle Roy

Kyle, the surgery didn't hurt because I was asleep. It did hurt a little bit after I woke up and I did feel funny. I'm excited to play soccer with you in a few months.

Bro. and Sis. Dotson, my heart is sad that I cannot be there and please save the pictures for me. My room has a game cube so I've been able to play a lot of games. Trent

Dotson's, thank you for the entry, it made Trent cry when I read it to him. He needed to cry because he has been scared and keeping things inside. - Jeff

Trent,

I'm out in Neola and there are a lot of cows. They are worried you are going to drink so much Choc. milk that they are going to have to work overtime. I'm sorry I haven't left a comment sooner we haven't been at home to use our computer. I just wanted to thank you so very much for the wonderful hug you gave me on Monday. I thought of it often over the last few days. Jaydon and Maren were a little mad the other kids got to see you and they didn't we'll have to that. Jaydon will sneak in soon. We will be back in town soon then we can talk to you more often. Don't forget our deal. Tell mom and dad we love them and that please give them a hug from us, I know that you guys are taking good care of each other. Remember being scared is o.k., just let us know and we'll be brave together. love the GoddyGang...J,J,K,J,M,J & B

Sorry we haven't written sooner. You know our family and technology, they don't really go together!! Thanks for letting us come and visit on Wed. Sorry Spencer couldn't come. He looks forward to meeting you. He needs to see what a cool cousin he has. Besides with all these girls in our house he needs someone to teach him how to be a tough guy!! We hope today goes good for you. We are praying for you and know Heavenly Father is listening. Stay tough, and fight hard. You are a great example to our family. We love you. give your Mom and Dad a special hug adn kiss, they need it!

Trent,

Thank you for your note, I know you probably don't feel good right now, but that will pass. You are strong and are doing something that nobody in this family has done. We are all proud of you. I'm almost done with the Pirates Poster. We will bring it in when it is finished. We love adn pray for you and your family.

He Trent! I'm Joshua's, Tyler's, Keira's, and Sicilee's gramma (Mamo as they call me). The last time we saw you was at Sicilee's 1st birthday party at their house. I have a picture of you when Sicilee was eating her chocolate birthday cake. She had it all over her and she looked so silly.

Joshua is very sad that you are sick and in the hospital. He told me he has been praying for you and misses you. He and Tyler were happy to see you the other night. Don't worry about Peanut, Shua is taking her for walks and tells her you love her and miss her. Uncle Doug will learn to like her, too.

Their Papa and I are praying for you, too, and hope you get well very soon. Stay strong and be tough even though it's hard. Heavenly Father loves you and will see you through this.

Lots of love,
Papa and Mamo Lauber

Braithwaite family,

Will you tell everyone thank you for fasting for me. I know fasting works. My Uncle Alan went on a mission to Africa. While he was there he got so sick they were going to send him home. We held a special family fast and within no time he got better and finished his mission. So tell everyone thanks. Autumn I can't wait till I can play soccer again I miss running and scoring goals. The only soccer I can play is on the game cube. Are you still playing soccer or are you taking dance or something girls do? Well thanks again.

Love Trent

Colette,

Thank you for offering to help. I don't want Brad and Nathan shuffled everywhere. It is hard enough having Mom, Dad, and Trent away every day so mo Mom is going to take them. Right now my family is going to bring dinners up to the hospital but sometime in the future we may ask for help with that. Right now we need people to come to the hospital and sit with Trent when I or Jeff need a break. So I just need to call Heidi and work something out with her. Anyway thank you so much for the prayers and the fast on Sunday it means so much to us.
Talk to you soon.

Love, Tiff

Black family,

Thank you for writing. Tell all my friends if you see them hi. The hospital was interesting at first but now just plain boring. Kathryn I can eat anything I want cuz they want to fatten me up! At some point the chemo will make me not hungry so I might lose some weight and I am a little guy so I can't lose to much. Chocolate milk is my favorite so I get it anytime I want awesome huh! What track did the girls get this year for school? How is your basketball court in your backyard? Talk to you later!

Trent,
My new pool is really BIG!!! We won it at the Fun Run. I can't dive in it because I would hit my head but it is still fun. My baby sister is 7 months old. She's really heavy, about 16 pounds. I can't hold her for very long. I don't have any Pokemon cards. At Dakota's baseball game a kid gave me one but that's all I have. Mostly I have Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I'm on D track again but I don't know who my teacher is yet, maybe Mrs. Adams. How good is the hospital food and are you tired of video games yet? Write back soon. Love, Talon
