December 3rd- day +16

Today the dr's came in about 9:00 and gave us some good news. They said the graft is starting to take place. My white blood count is at 200 today. We are so excited. I really want to be home by the end of the week but mom just laughs they say once I am fully grafted it will take another week till I can go home. I have to be 500 or over, take all my meds, and I have to be eating, goodbye tpn. I am feeling a little better. They took me off the pain button and I have been able to go about 8 hrs without any pain meds so we will see. Today for a few hours I was free of all the tubes so I was able to run without taking the big IV stand. I love being free!! Hope for the best.

Hey guys! That is fantastic news! We will be at Primarys on the 4th floor next Wednesday to have a cast removed...it would be fun to bring a treat or a puzzle or something fun and leave it at the nurse station for you. Let us know what you (Jeff & Tiff) or Trent or both would like!
Love ya!
Joy and Casey and everyone else who lives at our house!! :)

Trent-
You don't know me but I am good friends with your Aunt and Uncle Alan and Allison. I saw your site on their blog. Also, I used to work at Primary Children's as a nurse on the unit where you are right now. Don't remember ever taking care of you? But... I left in July and I am not sure how long you've been there. Hope they are treating you well, those doctors and nurses there are great. You will have to tell them all HI for me. I like your blog, what a good idea! Best of luck to you, it seems like you are doing great!!! Congrats on the graft starting that is awesome! Get well soon!

Joy,

How is the cast going? Did they have to reset her arm? Hope all is going well. You don't have to bring him anything he is just fine. On Wednesday's it's my day to get a break so I will not be here, but you can come and say hi through the window to him. My mom comes to sit with him so she will be here you are more than welcome to come say hi. We are kind-of hoping we will be home but probably not. Hope all goes well and all is well.

Sherri Perry,

Thanks for writing. Did you meet my Uncle Alan & Aunt Allison at the hospital or somewhere else. They are fun! We asked our nurse if she remembered you and she said yes. We actually came on July 2nd so we may have just missed you. This is a wonderful place with great nurses and doc's. Do you miss working here? I am glad they have a hospital in Utah it is a blessing!! It was good to here from you thanks.
