December 10th day +23

Today is a great day. My ANC is 300 party!!! The nurse said that my red blood cells and platlets look great and that they are forming a lot of cells on their own so I am very excited. The Dr's say that I will more than likely be home by the end of the week. They think I will have an ANC of 500 tommorrow so let's hope! They switched all my medications to be taken orally. I am having a hard time taking them without thinking I will throw up. I have taken some and thrown some up and kept some down. Today a few Jazz players showed up to visit for a little bit it was Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer (sorry if mom spelled the names wrong). They are pretty big in person, it was very nice of them and fun to see them. Brad is jealous I got to meet them but he will be ok. Hope all is well.

WOW!!! What an exciting day. I can't believe you could be home this weekend. That's such great news. I heard Boozer has a child that is sick, too,so that's pretty cool that he would take the time to come see you. He looks like a big guy but I bet he's a giant in person. I'm so glad you are feeling better. I hope to hear you hit 500 tomorrow. Trisha

Trent! That is so cool that the Jazz were able to stop by your room and see you for a few minutes! We were hoping that they would be able to see you when they went up there. I'm sure that your brothers were so sad that they couldn't be there too! WOW, an ANC of 300, that is so cool...and a huge milestone, especially after BMT. We are so excited that you may be able to go home soon, we are praying that your ANC reaches 500 soon. That must have been very extra special marrow to boost your levels so fast! Hope to hear you are on your way home soon.

Love,
Geoff, Monica and family

Hey Trent,

This is Susan, Kyle's mom. Our computer has been pretty messed up lately, so I am surprised I have gotten this far without it freezing. Kyle has not forgotten about you. He talks about you all the time. He even put stuff on his Christmas list for you!! Crazy kid. Anyway, I hope this posts, and when he gets home from school I will try to write with him. We are getting a new computer soon - I hope!! Maybe you could call him? I am way glad to hear that things are looking good for you. Tiffany, let him call if he is bored!!!!!!!

Trent,
Possibly home this weekend?!? What great news!! Go 500 and go Jazz! What an awesome thing for the Jazz players to stop by!
For the past few weeks in singing time we have been learning a few songs to sing for Sacrament Meeting the Sunday before Christmas.
This month in sharing time we are focusing on the birth of Christ. So far we have learned about the prophets who foretold of the Savior coming to the earth and we also have learned about the Savior being born in Bethlehem.
I love this time of year as we seem to spend more time focusing on the birth of the Savior and trying to be more like Him. I love the Savior and am so grateful for his example in my life. You know...I also love you and am so grateful for your powerful example in my life!!
Love, Shelli

Trisha,

I think Boozer's son had a Bone Marrow Transplant also. It's crazy huh. Brad was way jealous but I just tell him he would not want cancer just to meet them! I would give up not meeting them if it meant I would not have ever gotten cancer but life goes on! Hope all is well at your house tell everyone hi. Is Chris still shaving his head?

Nate,

It was so cool meeting them. Right before they came in the Dalmation dog Armstrong was visiting me and then the Jazz players came with the Jazz dancers, it was so funny cause Armstrong would not stop looking or take his eyes off one of the Jazz dancers it was funny. Mom says typical male!!! How are you doing? Thanks for the guitar hero we are having a blast with it!! Tell everyone hi.

Heidi,

I am very sick of throwing up so I am very glad it's done. You know what it is like mom says! It's nasty. I am now scared to take pills for fear I will throw up so I have to get over that. Talk to you later.

Susan & Kyle,

It was good to hear from you. I just thought with the season you were way busy, so I am glad you wrote. Tell Kyle hi I miss him. We still have to think of pranks to do on teachers!! They will love them. We know what it is like to have a horrible computer ours at home is awful.

Susan,

I will try to get Trent to call. He has not been very social. The hospital gets him down when he has been there so long. But I will try & hopefully will be successfull. Thanks for everything.

Sister Simmons,

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me about Christmas and my Savior. I love Christmas time to and am so thankful I will be home with my family and so far leukemia free!!! I hope your holiday is going well so far! I can't wait to go to primary and be baptized! President Freeman and President Crook came to see me today they are awesome, but they asked when I am getting baptized and I told them next year and hopefully not long after I turn 8. So we need to talk to the doc's to see if I can go into a public place and try to cover my central line so it doen't get wet. Anyway we have a while to think about that and ask questions but I am excited. Merry Christmas.
