October 9th

Well things are slowly getting better. I have been feeling better every day but I'm still waiting for my appetite to come back. Good news came today. Two 10 out of 10 matches have been found for bone marrow. One is a 47 year old female and the other is a 32 year old male. The doctors are going to submit the formal request to the 32 year old tomorrow since he is younger. The doctors do not think that a fourth round of chemo will be beneficial so we are moving towards the bone marrow transplant. The projected schedule as of now is that we will stay for the next couple of weeks until my levels start to come up, go home(unknown for how long), go back for ten days of TBI(total body irradation) to destroy my bone marrow, and get the bone marrow transplant on the eleventh day. Keep us in your prayers. Love, Trent.

That's GREAT news about the match! My kids and I pray for you every night.

Lots of people are checking your blog, even though you don't see too many comments. Tell your mom to go to my blog, click on "Free Counter" below my counter and follow the very simple instructions to add to your page. Then you can see how many people love you every day.

WOW!!! All the praying seems to be working. There are people out there that can't find 1 match and you have 2. It's great news. My kids put you in their prayers every night and we check your blog every day. They can't wait to hear that you are better and home enjoying the new house, so stay strong. The whole Rodriguez household is pulling for you.

I'm glad to hear you've had some good news! I too, read your blog daily. My family is pulling for you! Does anyone know if testing to see if we could be bone marrow donors is an easy process, or if there is a place to go to do so? Keep Fighting Trent! We love you! The Korth Family

Trent,
10 for 10! WOW!! What a blessing to have total strangers who are willing to give of themselves to help save your life. You have inspired my husband and I to be put on the donor list. Thank you for your strength, for your courage and for the smile that is always on your face! You are so blessed to have so many love and care for you!
We are finally going to be able to split your primary class, you will stay in Brother and Sister Rindlisbacher's class along with Jackson Roberts, Andrew Hartley, Dallin Owens, Addison Garrison, Jennifer Holm, Kennedy King, Abbigail Holt and RJ Oakeson.
Love, Shelli

Hi Guys,
Congrats on the matches. I was thinking that would have been even cooler if the day was 10/10 when you got your 10 out of 10 but ANY day is super great!! Well you asked a couple of questions a while back... School seems to be good Ethan enjoys pre-school (once he gets there) Hunter has decided he needs to worry about "Girls" and he has joined chorus. Brayden is playing the violin and doing safety patrol he wanted to try out for SBO but I think we didn't get the paperwork in! Austin is doing okay at least he likes seminary!!
and Mom even goes to school too...
to work! In the kitchen (again) at Matheson Jr. like before. Scott didn't do well on his hunt and it is over.. How did Brad do with his Uncle Mike? Well I hope things go very well for you this next while.
By the way... tell your Mom & Dad you HAVE TO HAVE it is a must...
TRANSFORMERS!! comes out on the 16th very good show.
take care!

Korth Family,

The testing to be on the bone marrow registry is quit easy. You go to a center (we will find out where and let you know). You have to pay $50.00 to register but that is all then it is a simple blood draw. You are then in the registry and when someone needs bone marrow or stem cells the Dr. type's in the persons info then they do a quick search. If you match or slightly match they go from there. It is an awesome thing people do. Mom and Dad are both going to go get on the registry after everything settles down. We are so thankful for the donors that were willing to take a little time to be on the registry it will totally save my life and many more!!! Thanks for writing

Doyle Family,

Thanks for writing. How is Hunting season going for you guys? Any new wall hangings? I am so excited for the donors though I think mom and dad are more excited they understand a lot more. Yes, I get to dress up for Halloween but I don't know if I want to the nurses and mom are trying to convince me we will see. They say Halloween up at Primary's is so fun. They do it during the day (I think that's weird). So I am kind of excited. I told mom I only wanted to dress up if I was home I will see. Let me know how the hunt went.

Sister Simmons,

Thank you so much for letting me know who is in my Primary class. I know a few of them and I am so excited to go. I am so excited about you and your husband registering on the bone marrow register. Just think if a ton of people did it, we would save a ton of lives!!!! I am very thankful for the woman and man on the registry that are willing to help me!!! When the Dr. first came in to talk to us about bone marrow transplant and the registry he told us that there has been a few times that he has had to tell parents there is no matches for their child and they could not do anything. I was so sad so I am very thankful they found a match for me!!!! Thank you for writing and being a great Primary president.

Wow Trent, I'm amazed at how quickly your counter has gone up! Guess I shouldn't be, though, because you have lots of people rooting for you. I actually have something for you and your brothers that one of my faithful blog readers made for you. I have several friends that "blog hop" from mine to yours. I'll try to run it by your house this weekend.

Baby Katie is doing well. She's getting chubby and smiley, and isn't so fussy anymore. When you are feeling better I'll bring her over to meet you. If your mom needs to hold a baby send her on over : ).
