Con't - October 8th

".....nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt." Mark 14:36

The experimental drug has been working and has started to get the graft v. host under control. This has allowed me to have a couple of good weeks. I have had very little pain, have been awake, and can get out of bed by myself. The whole purpose of striving for graft v. host was that it would kill off the remaining leukemia cells. Now that graft v. host is coming under control we have found the leukemia is still here. The graft v. host was the last chance I had to win the battle. I have fought hard for fifteen months and still want to keep fighting, however Heavenly Father has other plans for me. I will be going home tomorrow. We are going to have fun as a family and do whatever I want to do for as long as I can. We will let everyone know what is going on but right now we are only focused on coming home. Our Father in Heaven knows what is best and we have faith in Him. Thank you for the prayers and my love to all. Trent.

Cute Trent! Tears are streaming down my face as I think about how strong, and brave, and truly amazing you are. I am SOOOO incredibly happy that this last medicine is helping you to feel a little bit more normal and although I am heartbroken that there is still leukemia, I know that this drug was a mixed blessing to be able to help you spend some quality time home with your wonderful family. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. Love you, Trent!

Trent I am so blessed by your testimony of faith! If only the world could see what real life is, the way you live it, with God as your constant friend and guide. So many many lives are better because of yours. God's will and purpose is being fulfilled through you in countless ways, and will continue to be no matter what happens. I can't tell you how awed I am by God's Spirit working in and through you. A better instrument for Him there's never been. God bless you and your family sweet guy.

Trent,
We sure love you and your sweet family. You are always in our hearts and prayers. Not a day goes by that we don't pray for a cure and sometimes we question the outcome. But in the end we know that God knows what is best for us and even though our purpose here on Earth is different than we had thought we know that our families will be together forever. I Thank You for your strength and courage. You have taught us all lessons that we will never forget. I Love You!!! Trisha

Trent & Family,

This is Tami's sister in NC. I spoke with her yesterday. My heart goes to all of you and your family. You have such faith and are truly an inspiration to me. I can not imagine this kind of trial but know we are given what we can handle. Thank you for being willing to share this experience with so many. It has helped strengthen my testimony in understanding and accepting the will of the Lord. You have such a great amount of trust, faith and most of all love.

Thank you:)

Trent and Family,
Just so you know I'm one of the bloggers that Nurse Heidi has sent out and I'm all the way out in Denver Colorado. I even posted your story on my blog when everyone brought signs to your hospital. You and your family have made a tremendous impact throughout the NATION right now. Blessings and prayers to all of you.

Sincerely,

What an incredible and special young man you are! I love you and your family! I am grateful for my association with you. I am sure you are so grateful to be feeling better, and to have the opportunity to go home with your family. I am sorry to hear that the leukemia is still in your body! With my own experiences, although of course there are differences, I testify that whatever lies ahead of you and your family, the Lord will take care of you. The Savior can take away fear and carry us through the most difficult situations and circumstances. I love you!

Captain Trent Sparrow! I just looked at your whole blog from the beginning... you are a warrior, a soldier, an angel, a saint. (and a pirate, of course...nobody sword fights like you do). Thanks for taking time to meet George because I told him I want him to grow up to be the boy that you are-- and now that he knows you he knows what he needs to live up to. I love you and your family--- I know I said it before so many times, but my heart is so full of love for you guys! I hope you had fun at the soccer game if you went, if not I hope you had fun regardless. Knowing you, you at least made it fun for everyone that was with you. I'm so happy your brothers get to play with you at home.

We keep thinking of you and praying for you here at the McNaughtan household...

all the love, Leslie-George-&Matt.

The best famiy time we have is called "snuggle group C". We all just hang out, watch a good movie and everyone crawls in bed with us. It can be squishy, but it is the best. Sometimes we read books and make up stories. I hope you get plenty of snuggle time now that you are home Trent. I heard that you might get baptized. I hope the water is nice and warm. Your family is still in our prayers. Don't be scared, you have so much family in heaven that are waiting for you to come home. Remember that we are only here on earth for about 15 minutes in heaven time. We put you and your family's name in the temple. We sure wish we could take it all away but Heavenly Father knows what is best.

Trent,

You don't know me, but I grew up with your mom. She wont tell you this but all of the guys in the ward had a big crush on her and she was a hug flirt!!!! :)

I only recently heard about your story and just today found out that you were Tiffany's son. I am so impressed with the comments and attitude you have put on your blog. It is no wonder why Heavenly Father is calling you back home so soon, he must really need you up there.

Thank you for being such a strong young man. You're example has helped my testimony and that of my family.

Tiff,

What is there to say??? We have been trying to get everyone we know over to chic-fil-a today to help with the fund raiser for Trent. You and your family are in our prayers and I hope you know if there is anything that you need we will do everything in our power to help you out. I have spoken with my business partner and we are going to donate a portion of our profits from our furniture, real estate and mortgage companies to help wherever you need it. Have Jenni or whoever post where you want it sent to.

May God bless your family!
