November 5th: Funeral arrangements

Trent Daniel DuVal
"Trent Trent"
Born June 8, 2000 to Jeffery and Tiffany DuVal, passed away November 4, 2008 in Riverton, Utah. Our "Hero T" Trent Daniel DuVal passed away on November 4, 2008 in his favorite place, home. His battle with Leukemia was hard fought. Trent never gave up the fight and never doublted his Heavenly Father. Whether climbing any obstacle he found or playing swords, he was full of life. Always finding the joy and fun in everything. Trent was always thinking of others and how they would feel oftentimes neglecting his own pain and needs. His battle touched more lives than he could ever imagine. He will be missed and thought of often. We love you Trent and look forward to seeing you again. Trent is survived by his parents, brothers: Bradley and Nathan DuVal, grandparents, and many loving extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Grandma Great Cazier and his Aunt Carol. The family wishes to thank the doctors at Primary Children's hospital that tried everything in their power and to the nurses that became part of our family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Herriman Utah Stake Center, 13675 S. 5600 W. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.) and from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations to be made to Primary Children's hospital. Condolences may be shared online at www.Jenkins-Soffe.com

Jeff and Tiff-
You are two of the most amazing people I have ever had the fortune to meet! You and your family have been such amazing examples to so many people. Trent defines "missionary" and I am sure Brad and Nate have learned so much from him. I can't say anything you havent already heard, but I am truly sorry for your loss and I know if anyone can press on, it is your family. We love you and thank you for letting us be your friends. Trent has been a great example to Chad and myself as well as our kids and he will never be forgotten.
We love you!

Dear Trent and Duval family;
It is said "some people come into your life and you are never the same because of them". Trent and each of you had that impact on my life.
Thank you for sharing your personal struggles so readily with many of us at PCMC. Through you and Trent sharing your joys and sorrows, our lives are richer for knowing you.
May peace and warmth fill your hearts as you KNOW you have done everything you could.

Jeff and Family,
I have been following your blog for several months and feel so sad for your loss -- not because I doubt that Trent is safe and happy with our Heavenly Father -- but because of how much you will miss him here. I am so impressed with his convictions and with your attitude as well. It really has been an inspiration to me and my family. We will continue to pray for your family during this difficult time. God bless you,
Pam Drennan Brooks

DuVal family-
This is my first visit to Trent's blog - I can't believe he's already gone and I'm barely learning of him. I feel like I've missed out.

I doubt any of us will ever understand why God calls some of His children home before it seems 'right' to do so, and there are never words to express the sorrow of losing a child, so if you ever find that your faith is not quite enough to get you through the night, I'd be happy to bring over a plate of treats, a listening ear, and a shoulder to cry on.

God bless you all during this difficult time.

Love,
Paige & Josh

You have two choices when faced with tragedy. You can either handle it by being bitter and resentful or with dignity and grace. Your family did the latter. Be proud of your faith and hope and positiveness. You will be blessed because of it.

Dear Duval Family-
I am in Tiffany's parents ward. I ran into Amber today at Harmon's and she told me Trent had passed away. I was so deeply saddened to hear. Amber told me about this blog, so I came home and read all of it. What a journey! What a valiant fight not only Trent gave, but all of you! I am so inspired by your family's strength, determination and courage. What great attitudes you have! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
With love and sympathy-
